Intel Joins Laptop Project (PC World)
PC World - In an unexpected development, chip giant Intel Corp. has joined the One Laptop Per Child (OLPC) initiative. The nonprofit project aims to equip children in developing countries with specially designed low-cost notebooks powered by chips from Intel's rival Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (AMD).

NewsFactor - Gamers, fasten your seatbelts. On Monday, Intel introduced a new Core 2 Extreme processor for notebook PCs, calling it the "world's highest-performing mobile processor." The company also introduced a new Core 2 Extreme quad-core processor and other desktop chips.
